All text involves math concepts . These represent mathematical objects about which "speaks" the text. Unless you know the meaning of these concepts is impossible to understand the meaning of speech. Some of the concepts are known, and in many cases, each paper presents new concepts. It is therefore necessary to know (and mostly understand) the meaning of each of these new data.
Note from me: Specifically in high school that is why learning must have a full but at least basic point, since most of the problems of understanding in a new subject is not itself new theme but previous issues that should have been learned, especially in elementary school.
Moreover, the texts also involve results, which are statements about of mathematical objects. These results are all true statements about those objects. Therefore, in general each of the results is justified, it can be formal or informal. For most math courses, you must be able to reproduce these justifications.
In the third instance. present technical texts. These techniques relate to ways of solving problems. In some cases, these techniques allow theoretical problem solving (techniques to generate a proof) and others, are for practical problems (recipes). The techniques do not appear out of nowhere. Are logical both the concepts and the results have been presented in the speech. They show us practical ways through which we can use those concepts and results, depending on them.
The fourth element is the examples, in which the text presents particular instances, either the concepts have been introduced or techniques by which they can solve problems. And finally
exercises of which speak in the next post.
